eGOIA

Electronic Government Innovation and Access

Objectives

The main target of eGOIA is the demonstration of future-oriented public administration services to a broad public. Thereby the vision of the eGOIA project is the provision of a single virtual space supporting the interaction of citizens (independent of social status, gender, race, abilities and age) and the public administration in a simple, future-oriented and cost-effective way.

Activities

eGOIA intends to develop a long term, ambitious set of guidelines and strategies for future e-attendance agency solutions: It begins with the demonstration of some integrated citizen-centric services based on the current set of eGovernment services in São Paulo. eGOIA offers these services to a selected citizen user group in the newly established Citizen Access points. Thereby it multiplies the lessons learned into different Brazilian regions/states and also to other countries (i.e. Peru and Portugal).

Results

INI supported the development of a requirement set based on the different needs, constraints and organisational information of the target environment with respect to social, organisational, technical, political, legal, financial, economical, security and other aspects.
Furthermore INI was responsible to assess and disseminate the results from the commercial perspective and ascertain the market viability of the eGOIA concepts.
On-going and future activities include the establishment of an international network of partner institutions for eGovernment technology and services.
