Daedok Valley Technology Evaluation
Market potentials for high tech SMEs in Daedok Valley, South Korea
Objectives
The objective was to execute professional evaluation of technology, products quality, potential marketability and competitiveness of high Technology companies in Daedok Valley. The partners mutually cooperated for gaining affiliation or cooperation with foreign institutions or companies, and for supporting entry of the companies into the global market.
Realization
The technology evaluation process was composed of the following procedures:
Phase I
- Presentation of the technology or the product: In a public presentation questionnaires were distributed to companies. The completed questionnaires were returned to the INI-GraphicsNet Foundation including relevant information about the technology.
- Initial review: Expert reviewers evaluated the completed and returned questionnaires. After the evaluation procedure was finished the companies received a report of the overall quality of the technology.
- On-Site Evaluation: The most promising technologies were selected and invited to participate in a personnel meeting with the respective expert evaluator for further examination and discussions.
- Final assessment: The results of the second (on-site) evaluation were sent to the selected companies. These documents comprised recommendations for a commercialization process, including references to potential European customers, venture capitalists and research partners.
Phase II
- Evaluation of the presented technologies and products.
- Initial review by the INI-GraphicsNet experts with reports on the overall quality of each technology.
- On-Site evaluation in personal meetings with the respective expert evaluators.
- Final assessment of the selected companies with recommendations for their commercialization, including references to potential European customers, venture capitalists and research partners.
- Set-up of an event marketing concept to guarantee the best possible success for Korean companies and potential partners.
- Provide contacts to potential German partners in the Life Science and ICT areas and information material about the Korean Companies to potential investors.
- Preparation of presentation booths for the Korean companies and providing presentation facilities.
- Guidance and contact management of the companies by INI-GraphicsNet Stiftung through all stages of presentation, negotiation and bilateral conversation with potential partners.
Results
Planned cooperation to promote exchange of commerce and scientific technology, and actively assist in marketing, export and sales of licenses and agenting of sales. Detailed results of the individual project evaluations are not allowed to be disclosed.
