The enormous growth of the INI-GraphicsNet caused the necessity of a central institution to perform various tasks essential for sustaining the success and performance of the INI-GraphicsNet, an institution to endorse and promote the cooperation and joint activities within the network. In 1999 the INI-GraphicsNet Stiftung was founded in Darmstadt, Germany, with the purpose to promote scientific research and technology development in the field of computer graphics.
In the course of its holding function the Foundation performs various organizational, strategic, and administrative tasks thereby maintaining an overview of the activities of all partner institutes within the network. It is the avowed aim of the INI-GraphicsNet Stiftung to lead its members ideas and achievements to innovation and to sustain the network‘s success.
The INI-GraphicsNet Stiftung fosters the strengths of the INI-GraphicsNet‘s members and provides its partners with efficient solutions for the marketing of innovative technologies and the incorporation of enterprises. The Foundation has a wide scope of competencies in the fields of innovation management, marketing, and the commercialization of research and technology at its command, which enable it to mount these tasks.
